SUMMARY:Achieving the European Green Deal through nature-based solutions
DESCRIPTION:Hoe i2connect van plan is om adviseurs en lokale actoren in de praktijk te betrekken bij innovatieve benaderingen in land- en bosbouw? Welke voordelen en barrières worden ervaren en impact gecreëerd?? Wat is nodig voor een duurzame voortzetting? All of these and more questions will be covered in the i2connect presentation at the upcoming annual event of NetworkNature.  \nNature-based solutions\, in Europe and beyond\, are an integral part of restoration efforts and represent the building blocks for a sustainable future\, including in the field of health\,  agriculture\, klimaatverandering en meer. Joint action and local\, regionale en internationale samenwerking zijn cruciaal om de impact en verspreiding van op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen te maximaliseren. The recognition of their potential to address societal challenges has translated into an increasingly prominent role of nature-based solutions in the EU policy landscape\, waarbij de Europese Green Deal een kans biedt om de uitvoering ervan te mobiliseren en de financiering te verhogen. Het evenement toont de visie en toegevoegde waarde van Netwerk Natuur bij het bereiken van deze doelstellingen. \nWith the objective of creating a space for dialogue for the nature-based solutions community and to expand the community to establish partnerships with new and impactful actors\, the event will gather stakeholders from all target groups\, including policymakers\, scientific experts\, civil society as well as investors and financing institutions\, infrastructure planners and builders\, landeigenaren en beheerders van natuurlijke hulpbronnen. \nThe event will be structured in three parts: een plenaire opening (10am – 12pm CET); vijf parallelle sessies (2pm – 4pm CET); een afsluitende plenaire vergadering (4.15pm – 5.50pm). \nThe agenda for the day is provided below.
