SUMMARY:Excellence Classes to foster an enabling environment for interactive innovation
DESCRIPTION:The i2connect project is all about encouraging interactive innovation processes that mobilize diverse actors such as farmers/foresters\, advisors\, researchers\, businesses\, NGOs etc.\, who put together their knowledge\, skills and experience\, to address a joint problem to which they seek a solution. In interactive innovation\, farmers\, practitioners or end-users as experts\, macht en verantwoordelijkheid delen en actief bijdragen aan het beïnvloeden van het proces, wat resulteert in gezamenlijk eigenaarschap van de uitkomst. \nWhy interaction innovation? \nThe rationale behind this is simple: de traditionele manier om de prestaties van boeren te verbeteren / boswachters door experts te vragen / advisors to analyse the situation\, diagnose the problem and come up with the solution is no longer sufficient in many situations. De complexiteit van veel problemen in de land- en bosbouw vraagt ​​om een ​​bottom-up multi-stakeholder innovatiebenadering zoals hierboven beschreven. \nThe purpose of Excellence Classes \nIn every days’ advisory practice there may be many obstacles for moving into interactive innovation processes. Sommige hiervan hebben betrekking op de vaardigheden en tools die adviseurs zelf nodig hebben. Hiervoor voert het I2Connect-project train-de-trainer-programma's uit en ontwikkelt een pool van experts om ervaringen te delen en van elkaar te leren. Yet\, even when an advisor recognizes the importance of interaction innovation and knows what to do to realise successful interactive innovation projects\, it needs an enabling environment\, i.e.\, the backup of his or her organisation\, vooruit gaan. Het doel van de Excellence Classes is om te werken aan deze stimulerende omgeving. \nThe three most-prominent concerns \nEarlier in this project a survey among advisory organisations has been executed revealing that managers in advisory organisations (belangrijke actoren zijn in de stimulerende omgeving) have the most-prominent concerns on three aspects of interactive innovation: \n\nhuman resource aspects\, i.e.\, the skills and competences that their advisors need for interactive innovation\norganisational aspects\, i.e.\, the consequences of interactive innovation for the work organization\, and\nfinancial aspects\, i.e.\, the impact that interactive innovation will have on the organisation’s business model and continuity.\n\nParticipants for the Excellence Classes \nIn the Excellence Class we will elaborate on and discuss above three concerns. Dit betekent dat de Excellence Classes vooral interessant zullen zijn voor drie typen managers in adviesorganisaties: human resource managers\, team or project managers\, and overall managers (CEO/CFO). Yet\, we hebben in dit project ook geleerd dat er tussen organisaties in Europa aanzienlijke verschillen zijn in bekendheid met bottom-up multi-stakeholder innovatieprocessen. Managers die weinig ervaring hebben met dergelijke processen binnen hun organisatie zijn mogelijk niet bereid deel te nemen aan Excellence Classes. In such cases it is useful to look for the next-best alternative\, e.g.\, a senior advisor with close links to the management\, deelnemen. Het I2Connect-project probeert grenzen te verleggen met betrekking tot interactieve innovatie, zodat Europese deelname van eminent belang is. De inhoud en de discussies in de Excellence Class zullen de senior adviseur zeker helpen om managers te triggeren om zich open te stellen voor de nieuwe aanpak en anders heeft deze deelnemer in de Excellence Class een netwerk opgebouwd met managers die hij of zij zou kunnen koppelen aan de eigen managers om bespreek het. \nSome practicalities \nThe Excellence Classes will be held with a maximum of 20 participants\, en elke Excellence Class bestaat uit een inleidende online bijeenkomst van 2\,5 uur en twee dagen fysieke vergaderingen. The introductory online meeting of the Excellence Class will be held on May 3rd\, 2022.
