The “AcquaBasilicata” Operational Group (GO “AcquaBasilicata”) aims to transfer validated technological innovations within the water resource management sector and provides innovative tools for increasing environmental sustainability of irrigation practices for the agricultural sector.
The OG will transfer the following innovations:
Ø Innovations and technologies of irrigation systems: automatisms for measuring irrigation water volumes;
Ø Dissemination of sustainable agricultural practices and innovative management protocols (esim. water balance, estimation of the volume of wet soil, jne.);
Ø Dissemination of sensors and innovative systems to the control and monitoring of the soil-plant-atmosphere system;
Ø Good management practices in rural areas according to different levels of hydrogeological risk;
Ø Environmental sustainability and improvement of the products’ quality/ implementation of environmental certification scheme, assessment of environmental impacts and mitigation strategies.
