In order to counteract climate change and increase biodiversity in the Bavarian landscape, a significant increase in tree planting is necessary. tuttavia, the planting material is unsuitable for the changing climatic situation.
Traditional tree nurseries do not offer deep-rooted material and even traditional trees are scarcely available in times of the orchard pact.
Come hai risolto il problema?
Die AmmerseeObstbaum GmbH verfolgt das Ziel, künftig abgehende Apfelplantagen mit einer Vielzahl an Gehölzen, v.a. Obstgehölzen, zu bereichern.
Geplant ist die Anlage im klassischen Hochstamm-Streuobst-Grünland Verbund, v.a. für Nußarten und Hochstammobst für Verarbeitungszwecke. Der Schwerpunkt soll aber auf vielfältigen „dynamischen Agroforstsystemen“ liegen, in denen eine Vielzahl verschiedener Obstarten und helfenden Gehölzen streifenförmig orientiert an der Wasserbewegung der hängigen Flächen (keyline design) angelegt werden sollen. Dabei ist autochthones Pflanzmaterial, variierend entsprechend den
Mikro-Standortbedingungen, nötig. Wir glauben, dass eine Anlage durch Ansaat eher zu den gewünschten Beständen führt: standortgerecht, vielfältig, stabil pflegeleicht und finanziell günstig. Dazu sollen die derzeitigen Kenntnisse über die Möglichkeiten und Einschränkungen bei der Ansaat von fremdbefruchteten (z.B. Äpfel und Birnen…) bzw. selbstbefruchtenden (z.B. Quitte, Aprikose, Pflaume, Holunder…) Sorten analysiert werden und darauf aufbauend ein Konzept für eine praktische Anlage in Maßnahme B formuliert und die Umsetzungsbedingungen (z.B. Verfügbarkeit von Saatgut, Pflege während der Jungphase, Schädigungen durch Mäusefraß) geprüft werden.

Das Saatgut soll aus dem Trester von Fruchtsaftpressungen gewonnen werden.
Ein Abfallprodukt wird zu Saatgut aufbereitet.
Quali sono i fattori di successo nella risoluzione del problema?
We want to find a simple solution that can be replicated by every fruit grower and farmer in order to expand woody structures cost-effectively and, se necessario, market them commercially as a tree nursery.The aim is to massively increase the supply of trees at reasonable prices in the hope of achieving many new plantings in Bavaria. The project also analyzes the supply of fruit tree nurseries and current planting practices and proposes concrete possibilities for improvement. We expect a very positive ecological footprint.
Lezioni imparate
The sowing technique, the time of sowing and the preparation of the seed is a continuous learning process, as a completely new method of tree sowing is being developed.
