Jakie było wyzwanie/problem?
Litewskie Biuro Doradztwa Rolniczego (OSTATNI, UBIEGŁY, ZESZŁY) practically accepted an idea of The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania to create Applied Innovation Research and Results Information System TITRIS. It was the time (2015) when the first EIP projects were implemented in Lithuania. LAAS had the aim to step forward with something in the area of knowledge transfer which is very practical, open access and at the same time sustainable in time.
The object of TITRIS is non-commercial research and innovations created in practice that have and can have a lower or higher significance for sustainable agricultural production.
The providers of data on applied research and innovation to TITRIS system are scientific institutions, farms, and other specialized producers.
Jakie są czynniki sukcesu w rozwiązaniu problemu?
Information shared in TITRIS is short, clear, useful for practice with a possibility to apply it on a farm or in the services for farms. TITRIS has a lot of elements found in similar systems such as keywords, practice abstracts or summary, useful links, additional material. Such “classical” elements of a system should let TITRIS to be linked with existing data bases. Z drugiej strony, it is natural that TITRIS has several unique features: effect of innovation on practice that had to be stated over arguments and technical readiness level (in case innovation is not developed till the end). An additional value of TITRIS is implemented transparency in the innovation field. The system helps to identify what has already been created.
What were the main challenges during the innovation process?
It is a challenge to add to the system much more aspects about national AKIS actors: to update relevant events (national and international, coming and already organised by thematic aspects) to make better understanding about innovation activities (innovation dictionary, cross visits, interconnection with ongoing practical projects), to collect in one place all information about national agricultural sector involvement in international projects.
Jaką rolę odgrywa doradca lub usługa doradcza w praktycznym przypadku?
Knowledge awareness and exchange, Advisory, consultancy and backstopping aimed at solving complex problems, to be provided during the innovation process and based on demands of actors and the co-construction of solutions, Demand articulation, to allow actors to have access to new ideas, identify their needs, define their objectives and express clear demands to other actors, Networking facilitation and brokerage, to help organize or strengthen networks, improve the relationships between key actors and to align services in order to be able to complement each other, Capacity building, aimed at increasing innovation actors’ capacities in order to play their roles in the innovation process, Enhancing/supporting access to resources by facilitating access to inputs, facilities and funding, Facilitating access to new networks and actors, Scaling up the innovation to increase the uptake by a broader group
