Koji je izazov/problem bio riješen?

The “AcquaBasilicata” Operational Group (GO “AcquaBasilicata”) aims to transfer validated technological innovations within the water resource management sector and provides innovative tools for increasing environmental sustainability of irrigation practices for the agricultural sector.

The OG will transfer the following innovations:

Ø Innovations and technologies of irrigation systems: automatisms for measuring irrigation water volumes;

Ø Dissemination of sustainable agricultural practices and innovative management protocols (npr. water balance, estimation of the volume of wet soil, itd.);

Ø Dissemination of sensors and innovative systems to the control and monitoring of the soil-plant-atmosphere system;

Ø Good management practices in rural areas according to different levels of hydrogeological risk;

Ø Environmental sustainability and improvement of the products’ quality/ implementation of environmental certification scheme, assessment of environmental impacts and mitigation strategies.

Optimization of the water resources management,

implementation and dissemination of automated irrigation management models for saving water,

optimization the use of fertilizers, improvement of the quality of production and yields.

Research and scouting of

• cheap technological tools for small farms

Knowledge awareness and exchange, Advisory, consultancy and backstopping aimed at solving complex problems, to be provided during the innovation process and based on demands of actors and the co-construction of solutions, Networking facilitation and brokerage, to help organize or strengthen networks, improve the relationships between key actors and to align services in order to be able to complement each other, Facilitating access to new networks and actors, Scaling up the innovation to increase the uptake by a broader group
