Mi volt a megoldott kihívás/probléma?

Precision farming technologies like plant protection prognosis systems, satellite based guidance systems on tractors, satellite-and sensor-controlled plant protection sprayers and hoeing technologies as well as plant protection drones allow for a more efficient use of plant protection products. Product application becomes more precise, respectively is replaced by non-chemical alternative means. 60 farms with broad acre cropping, növényi, fruit and grape production apply these technologies on a surface of about 900 hectares and aim at 25 percent reduction of plant protection product use compared to management practises without using precision farming technologies. Consultants at the regional agricultural centres advise farmers especially with regard to the employment of high-potential plant protection prognosis systems. Effects of the different technologies are monitored by the scientific partner Agroscope, being the research affiliation of the federal office of agriculture. The project runs from 2019 nak nek 2026 and is financed by the three cantons Argovia, Thurgau, Zurich and the federal office of agriculture. Melyek a sikertényezők a probléma megoldásában?

Motivation of participants, cooperation between regional and federal institutions, time and money to implement technical solutions

What were the main challenges during the innovation process?

Solving complex technological issues like integrating data of meteorological data loggers in plant protection prognosis systems or operation of semi-automatic, internet-linked insect traps with image recognition capabilities: In theory everything should work effortlessly, in practice there are many obstacles to overcome.
