Local Government of Tiszaszőlős established Hungary’s first grey poplar short-rotation energy wood plantation on its own arable area in 2011.The planner of the plantation was Gergely Mészáros ( forestry engineer, forestry consulting manager, forestry advisor).The Local Government has harvested the forest twice, providing social firewood to support local residents in need. The suckering of the trees of the plantation is ongoing.
Quais são os fatores de sucesso na resolução do problema?
The plantation wouldn’t have been so well constructed and maintained if the investor hadn’t taken into account the content of the construction plan and counselling. Proper soil preparation, proper seedling and proper care (according to construction plan) are very important, supplemented with watering if it is necessary.
