Wat was de uitdaging/het probleem aangepakt?

The latest research advances have enabled to validate and provide farmers with easy to implement tools to assess the land-based biodiversity and the biological functioning of their soils. These tools open up new possibilities to design technical routes more respectful towards the soil heritage. echter, in order to allow an efficient dissemination and appropriation of these tools by winegrowers and advisers, it is necessary to go beyond the diagnosis and develop methods of management and decision making to guide action and assess the added value of these tools compared to the existing ones.

The GASCOGN’INNOV project, driven by IFV in partnership with a group of winegrowers and advisors, aims at addressing these issues by testing soil biological indicators to re-design routes of soil conservation in perennial crops. These new tools and knowledge should also be used soon by technical advisors.

The balance between the cost of bioindicators and technical interest for winegrowers is essential.

To implement the participatory approach

To keep winegrowers mobilized through adapted animation

To document the soil-plant relationship
