What was the challenge/problem addressed?

The Synergy Days is the most important conference connecting the digital innovators of the European agri-food sector. You can expect not only workshops organised by the several EU projects and in-depth technical sessions but also networking opportunities and interactive panels.

It is an amazing way to be in touch with digitalisation opportunities.

How did you solve the problem?

SmartAgriHubs is a €20 M EU project under the Horizon 2020 instrument, and brings together  a consortium of well over 164 partners in the European agri-food sector. The project aims to realise the digitisation of European agriculture by fostering an agricultural innovation ecosystem dedicated to excellence, sustainability and success.

Taking advantage of its network, they are organizing the Synergy Days every year.

What is innovative in your practical case?

 

The format of the event allows networking opportunities and creating new consortia interested in innovation and digitalization in agriculture.

What are the success factors in solving the problem?

The number of attendees, the places where each event is held: Lisbon, Thessaloniki and Barcelona.

Lessons learned

 

The feeling is one of continuous improvement and involving more European projects. In addition, the event is well organized and schedules are respected.

What role does the advisor or advisory service play with the practical case?

He/she is a facilitator of opportunities that forms networks and creates new networking possibilities.
