What was the challenge/problem addressed?
Mainly, to deal with new challenges for the wine sector. Demo Farms are an excellent tool to showcase new developments to peer farmers and at the same time, to bring their own innovation to researches.
The wine technology platform does not manage these projects alone, it does so with its usual collaborators.
How did you solve the problem?
This project was financed within the framework of the Digitalization Package for the agri-food sector of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with €61,598.39 and 80% co-financing with European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
What is innovative in your practical case?
The wine technology platform has created a digital platform called the wine innovation school. It is the digital tool that they have decided to use to complement face-to-face training.
What are the success factors in solving the problem?
– The quality of the training provided.

Lessons learned
Many professionals have been trained in the digital transition and wine management.
The wine technological platform has strengthened its links with its collaborators such as the interprofessional wine association, the Spanish wine federation, the Spanish wine market observatory and the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils.
What role does the advisor or advisory service play with the practical case?
The advisor has the role of facilitator and talent seeker. why? He/She has to look for the best trainers for those subjects for which there is a need.
